Creator: import your own text
Creator can import a supported text from Files. A user-provided text can be a book, document, article, note, study material, or another supported text—it is not limited to a conventional book.
- Open Library and tap the plus button.
- Select a supported file you own or have permission to process.
- Review the detected source language and choose the desired language layer.
- Keep Mirror Reader open while preparation finishes, then open the text from Library.
AI and model-provider privacy
When you request cloud preparation or translation, needed text fragments can pass through an AI routing intermediary to a selected or automatically routed model provider. Providers can have different retention, training, evaluation, location, and deletion rules. Some routes offer Zero Data Retention, but Mirror Reader does not promise that every request is ZDR-enforced.
Pronunciation feedback
Pronunciation feedback is available when English is the learning language. In Reader, press and hold an English word, allow microphone access, and speak while holding. The short recording leaves the device and is processed in parallel by a third-party cloud speech-analysis provider and a separate Mirror Reader-operated phonetic-analysis service. The cloud provider also receives the selected English word; the Mirror Reader-operated service receives only the recording. The recording is discarded after the result, and Mirror Reader does not keep a pronunciation-audio or result history.
Account and billing
Account deletion is available in Profile. It removes active Mirror Reader account data and user-provided text packages, subject to the limited exceptions described on the Data Deletion page. Deleting the Mirror Reader account does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage billing in Apple's subscription settings.
